The Original TR7 Wiring Diagram, Redrawn in Color
Since I’ve started digging into the TR7’s wiring, it seemed sensible to work out what was meant to be there before I go changing any (more) of it.
Looking at the TR7 workshop manuals, there are several wiring diagrams, covering different years and markets. I have no real idea where my wiring harness actually came from (it’s RHD but the body came from California), so I picked the one that looked closest to my car (1980) and crossed my fingers.
Then I carefully redrew the whole thing in color. The factory diagrams are accurate, but they’re not the easiest things to read, and color makes following a single wire across the page less of a headache.
The plan is to gradually layer all of my car’s own modifications on top. That’ll take a while. For now it’s just the original, redrawn and colored in.
It might save someone else in the same boat a bit of bother, so I’ve put it online.

I drew the original in OmniGraffle, so that’s best if you’d like to edit it yourself. You’ll find PDF and Visio exports below, in case one of those suits you better. (Tho’ I don’t have Visio to check this - so, as they say, your mileage may vary…)
